We are Pandora Gaming, a new game studio run by me (Vivian Aladren) and Gil (Arthur Rothe). We're two queer artists focused on making games (mostly visual novels) featuring furry characters, with a variety of interests and themes to explore, including but not limited to trans narratives, therian identity, queer relationships, and kink. Our current major project is The Upper Shelves: Prey, which is out in early access right now! We have many other projects in development to look forward to as well, but we will mostly be focusing on two projects at a time.

Current State - Upper Shelves: Prey 0.1

This is the Act 1 release of our debut visual novel, The Upper Shelves: Prey. This contains the entirety of the first act (of 3) of the story, leading up to the narrative path split. This act explores the world of the visual novel, a strange, post-apocalyptic world where dreams are beginning to creep into reality, through the eyes of our main character Henry. Henry has witnessed a horrific act of violence and has seen the world pass it by unremarked on, and in his efforts to understand what happened to the mysterious wolf that night, gets more entangled in the lives of his family.

This visual novel features a variety of choices, both that will substantially change the outcome of Henry's fate, and choices that will adapt and change elements of the story as you progress through it.

The Vision - What is in store for this game

The full release of The Upper Shelves: Prey will include 3 versions of Act 2, depending on which path you want to explore, that will each conclude in a further binary path split, culminating in a grand total of 6 versions of Act 3, each of which will have one final split, culminating in a total of 12 possible endings.

The full release will also include a full original soundtrack by Patricia Taxxon, with the potential for further guest musicians and songs featured as the story progresses. The game will also have fully original artwork for backgrounds, CGs, UI, sprites, some of which are already present in the current release, and maybe more!? Waow!

What's Next

The next update will be one of the Act 2 releases (which you can influence by becoming a patron and voting on which path we should take first!). In addition, we will be working on cleaning up and finishing character art, including some brand new faces for Act 2.
